The last few weeks have been incredibly busy and a tad overwhelming, therefore I am glad to have some downtime over the holidays - despite a short stop at work today. I did promise myself to decompress and let go. I realized that fatigue increases my depressive tendencies - which I am not shy to admit here. Statistically almost 8% of people aged 12 and older in any 2-week period in the USA experiencing some form of depression (source CDC 2015). However statistics only capture documented cases, I would bet the percentage is far over 25%.
Nevertheless, sleep and exercise fortunately restored me and I have had a wonderful day today (after sleeping almost 10 hours straight and a challenging but rewarding 2h hill interval run outside with some sunshine).
Therefore - take care of yourself. Get plenty of rest and fresh air, and enjoy your holidays!
